LIVE IN-PERSON
PRESENTATION

“CaregiverSelf-Care”

“Caregiver Self-Care: Making Sure You Fill Your Cup, Too” is a freeSenior Connection Speakers Bureau Live Community Service EducationalPresentation to occur at NOON, on Thursday, Mar 12, 2026, at Las Fuentes ResortVillage; 1035 Scott Drive, Prescott (off Ruth Street, near Prescott HighSchool).

Presented by Christina McKelvy, Colibri Counseling & Consulting, Prescott AZ.

Christina will explore the importance to caregivers of prioritizing their own well-being whileproviding support to others.

Many caregivers find that they experience anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and limited social support, which can contribute to burnout and resentment.

Practical self-care strategies will be discussed, including understanding common barriers that make it difficult to care for ourselves,as well as the mental-health impact of neglecting self-care.

By understanding these challenges and learning effective coping tools, caregivers can better sustain their own health and continue providing compassionate care.Attendees can leave feeling empowered and supported through the knowledge ofthese strategies.

Christina's goal is for each participant to identify one personal area of growth and commit to a self-care challenge. By completing their self-care wheel, attendees will gain clarity about their needs and develop motivation to prioritize their own well-being.

The hope is that attendees leave knowing they are not alone, and that there is a community of support available to them.
