Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
— Helen Keller

At Colibri, we recognize that healing happens in connection. Whether we are working with a child and their parents, an individual with special needs and their caregivers, a veteran and their family, an older adult and those who care for them, or the teachers and medical professionals who give so much of themselves every day, we treat the whole system, not just the individual.

Therapy Services

  • Child Painting

    Child & Teen Counseling

Colibri Counseling offers therapy services for children ages 10 and up, using developmentally appropriate techniques such as play therapy, sand tray therapy, and art therapy. We believe that parents and caregivers are essential to the healing process, which is why they are actively part of the treatment team. We also offer dedicated sessions for parents and caregivers alone, providing a space to gain support, guidance, and tools to best support their child's growth and well-being.

  • Man and son

    Caregiver Focused Treatment

We understand that caregivers (professional, custodial, parents, and yes, teachers), often put their own needs last. Our owner, Christina, brings a personal understanding of the caregiving journey, having been a caregiver herself. Our therapists provide a supportive space where treatment is tailored to help you reconnect with yourself, develop healthy self-care practices, and build effective coping skills for the moments when life feels overwhelming.

    Anxiety & Depression

At Colibri, our therapists draw from a variety of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, to provide practical tools and skills that address your immediate needs and help you manage daily symptoms. We also incorporate psychodynamic and existential approaches to explore the root causes of what you are experiencing, helping you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your patterns. We will work with you to find meaning, build resilience, and create lasting change.

    Neurodiverse Affirming Services

We believe that every person's mind works differently, and we celebrate that through our neuro-affirming approaches that meet you where you are. We take the time to understand your individual experiences, strengths, and goals, and that your therapy is personalized. Our therapists provide a warm, safe, and welcoming space where you can openly process life's stressors, challenges, and transitions that honors and respects your neurodiversity.

    Older Adults

Colibri Counseling is now proud to accept Medicare, ensuring that quality mental health support is within reach for those in their later years. We understand that this season of life can bring meaningful yet challenging transitions, including shifting family dynamics, caregiving responsibilities, and personal health changes. Our compassionate therapists are here to offer a safe, supportive space to help you navigate life's evolving demands with clarity and resilience.

  • Veterans and Veteran Families

We now accept TriWest and CHAMPVA insurance, making mental health care more accessible for veterans and their families. Our team includes a therapist who is a veteran themselves, he brings experience and understanding the unique challenges that come with military service. Our owner is also deeply committed to supporting caregivers, recognizing the strength and sacrifice it takes to care for those who have served.

Right to a Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
