Ken Belden, MSW, LCSW

Ken Belden is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Arizona and California. He has been practicing since 2007 after earning his MSW from California State University, Long Beach, and his bachelor’s degree from the University of La Verne.

Prior to becoming a therapist, Ken served 29 years in California law enforcement, including roles as a police sergeant and community outreach supervisor, and is also an Army veteran.

He is especially passionate about supporting veterans and first responders and helping clients navigate PTSD and trauma-related challenges. Ken’s experience includes clinical work with homeless veterans, county behavioral health, crisis intervention, and critical incident management, and he also serves as a consultant providing Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) services.

Christina McKelvy, MC, LPC, CCMHC

Christina McKelvy is the founder and owner of Colibri Counseling & Consulting, PLLC. Originally from Hawaii, Christina now calls Arizona home. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Childhood Education.

Christina has been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for nearly a decade and is a registered clinical supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health. She is nationally certified (NCC) with a specialty credential as a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).

While Christina works with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, she is particularly passionate about supporting caregivers, educators, and parents. As a former caregiver herself, she understands the unique challenges faced by those in nurturing roles.

She also enjoys working with adults and unpacking their childhood experiences, especially early childhood as those years may shape our lives.

Christina's professional background includes roles as an adjunct faculty instructor, a clinical supervisor, hospital-based crisis counselor, CISM responder, and clinical director overseeing group homes and an outpatient clinic focused on serious mental illness and adolescent services, and working with veterans.
