ABOUT

Hummingbird, black and white.

Colibri Meaning

Colibri means Hummingbird in Latin, Spanish and French. The Hummingbird symbolizes joy, meaning, health, and staying in the present. Their wings flutter quickly, almost like they are on another plane of existence which adds to their spiritual allure. Some people believe if you see a Hummingbird in your path, they are bringing a message from the other side, from a loved one. They are wonderful, amazing creatures that teach us to be mindful and in the moment.

The Hummingbird was chosen as the name and logo for the reasons above, but also because they were Christina’s late grandmothers’ favorite bird. She was a social worker and embodied the nurturing spirit of the Hummingbird in everything she did.

Hummingbird teaches us to transcend time, to recognize that what has happened in the past and what might happen in the future is not nearly as important as what we are experiencing now. It teaches us to hover in the moment, to appreciate its sweetness.” – Constance Barrett Sohodski
